FIREBIRD 2.0

Final release: v2.0.7 (End of Series)

FIREBIRD 2.1.7

IMPORTANT: Before upgrading please pay attention to the files in the /misc/upgrade/metadata directory of your Firebird 2.1 installation as an essential step for preparing your databases for use under Firebird 2.1. If your databases contain metadata fields (like object names, comments/descriptions, computed field definitions, PSQL, view or constraint sources) storing non-ASCII data then the backup/restore upgrade cycle may not be enough to make them usable.

FIREBIRD 2.5.8 SUB-RELEASE IS AVAILABLE

FIREBIRD 3.0.2

The primary goals for Firebird 3.0 were to unify the server architecture and to improve support for SMP and multiple-core hardware platforms. Parallel objectives were to improve threading of engine processes and the options for sharing page cache across thread and connection boundaries.

Alongside these aims came new strategies to improve performance, query optimization, monitoring and scalability and to address the demand for more security options. A number of popular features were introduced into the SQL language, including the long-awaited support for the Boolean data type and the associated logical predications.

Tip:

Try renaming the Firebird installer / executable file to SETUP.EXE So in many cases the installation problem in Windows 10 build 1709 has been solved.

good installation at all
